25e75b charging?? oil mixture????

here goes, i just bought this boat with a johnson 25 horse its equipped with electric start but the plug and switch are missing, does anyone have a wiring schematic of the ignition switch for this motor??? will this motor recharge the battery??? what is the oil mixture supposed to be
any help would be greatly appreciated

Any Service Manual will have the electrical diagram. You need one. We recommend the OEM Manual from www.outboardbooks.com or www.kencook.com.

Fuel mix is 48:1. . . .1 pint TC-W3 oil to 6 gallons 87 octane.

I dont want to sound rude but all i really need to know is if the engine is supposed to charge the battery, and a schematic of the ignition switch with the two coils. I do not need an expensive manual. I dont even have a credit card to order one so im just hoping for a friendly person out there with just the info i need. i know your out there

Well, that was rude. You asked for "any help" and for the fuel mix. That is what you got.

It is illegal to copy copyrighted material and stupid to work on an outboard without a manual. Try your local library.

So you don't need a Manual? You only need PART of the Manual? That isn't stupid, it is wise. You just don't seem to realize that the diagrams you want are part of a Service Manual. Keep messing with that outboard and you will find something else that only a Service Manual can tell you.

I have been messing with outboards for about 60 years and during that time I have probably written 50 Service Manuals (not all for outboards). One thing that bugged me for all that time, and still bugs me, is people wanting to steal my work. . .illegally copy some of it to avoid paying for it. That is what the copyright law is for. . .to protect the creators of documents from people who want to copy it without paying.

It breaks my heart that you don't think I am a good people. I have helped an average of 12 people a day here, every day, for over 8 years. That is over 35,000 people, not counting post moves, edits and deletions. I think they would disagree.

well regardless to say i wrote my own diagram. it took a little longer but i got it without your help...oh by the it dont matter how long youve worked on anything if you have no brain you havent learned anything...i doubt you have helped that many people or written that many manuals if any at all just another joe with greasy pants.
