I have a 1994 Sea Ray 300 Sundancer. The Nav. lights are on all the time unless I unplug shore power, turn off the batteries or take the bulbs out. I have been behind the dash and have dis-connected the Nav. switch and still power is going to the lights. What I am looking for is the wiring diagram for the boat. Does anyone know where I can access one on-line?

Re: Sea Ray Wiring diagram

There is a generic boat wiring diagram in the "sticky" titled "Generic Boat Wiring Diagram" at the top of this forum. Here is a typical wiring diagram for the NAV lights. Obviously something is feeding the lights directly if you have the switch disconnected. Most manufacturers don't publish their electrical diagrams.

If the switch is a three terminal style, it will include a diode and the wiring is like this:

try pulling fuses until the lights go out. when it does, you can try to figure out what was connected to the line.

if it does not go out, then you have to chase down the connection.

Either the PO incorrectly wired something and used the nav line as a ground, or it is always possible a screw has gone through and connected the power line and the nav light line
