Hi folks,
I'm looking for a use Nissan Titan to pull my boat and travel trailer. In my search, I have seen some Titans with and some without factory hitches. The prices on the ones without the factory hitches seems lower. Are factory hitches install by Nissan any more superior than the after market ones I put on myself? By supperior, I'm referring to durability. Thanks.

My question is are factory hitch (install by Nissan) any better than me installing an after market hitch.

The hitches themselves no, but a factory hitch may indicate a factory tow package, which may include; heavier duty radiator, altinator, transmission cooler, beefier brakes, and 7pin wiring harness.

Just make sure you compare apples to apples.

And remember, always keep the shiny side up!

Factory installed if it has it already installed, Hidden Hitch if it doesn't. If the prices are even go factory. My SUV didn't come with the hitch but does have beefier radiator and an external transmission cooler so I installed a Hidden Hitch System. Figuring out how I wanted to route the wiring took longer than actually installing the hitch. Took about 30 minutes start to finish to bolt it up and took an hour contemplating how I wanted to route the wiring harness which then only took 20 minutes once I decided where to route it through the bumper.
