Paris Rhone alternator Question

Does anyone know what the "poles" are for a 50 amp Paris Rhone alternator usd in a AQ125b engine. Bought a new tach, and need to change settings. I can not find out any information about the "poles", i think this is what has to match.

Is a AQ125b engine a gas burning engine?

AQ125b is a gas engine, I am replacing tach with a Gaffrig 6000 RPM model 47H60CU.

Has 5 switch settings:
4,6,8,A,B

4=4cy
6=4cy
8=4cy
A=1
B=1

Ayuh,... Set it to 4,+ wire it off the Coil....
