1991 four winns remote control?

The boat is a 1991 four winns with an OMC 4.3 with a cobra drive. The remote control on it has a part missing that holds the lever on the assembly. It looks like to me that it might be some type of rubber boot or something. Makes it a pain the butt sometimes when moving the throttle because it will sometimes just barely side off. Would anyone know there to get this part from? Or am I stuck with get a new remote control?

most omc controls have a screw in the center of the handle, either from the front or the back of the control. if it is a concealed mount shift all the way to forward wot, on the bottom of the handle there is a slot, in there is an allen screw, that sets the handle.

i will have to check that out. just looks like there is something is missing from the bottom. i will take a picture of it tonight if i get a chance.
