Are you talking muffs or a hose hook up? If it's muffs just place them over the water intake and turn the water on. Water intake is usaully on the lower part of the leg, holes on either side. I am not familar with your motor so it may be different. Be aware that you do not want to rev the motor with muffs on. High idle at most.
Those old 'Rudes take a special flusher device. I do not know if you can find one. You might try a barrel or garbage can. Make sure the water is over the A-V plate by several inches, to feed the waterpump.

Something that's cheap and easy for a kicker is the large plastic tubs you can find in any big box store - the kind with the rope handles. then you need soemthing like saw horses, at the right height, to hold it with the lower unit n the water. Keep the hose running into the tub to replace water that splashes out.
you need a deep barrel, the leg of the motor has to be submerged atleast 1/2 up, or you will burn up impeller. the adapters have long since disappeared.
