For testing purposes, I need to know the right fuel/oil ratio for this outboard engine, plus the Champion spark plug for it.

It uses the NGK BZ7HS-10, not easy to find in M?xico (Tequesquitengo lake, Morelos state) and I need the Champion equivalent plug, easy to obtain all over this country.

Thank you from M?xico!

Throw the NGK's in the garbage and stick with Champions
Just my opinion though.

Thanks, kenmyfam. I share your opinions on Champions, same happens with automobile engines. The Johnson 150 V6 I am testing, has Autolite sparks...my Skydive instructor uses them on his Cessnas and says they work well. Maybe because airplane piston engines have 2,500 revs m?x or the propeller stops efficiency (tip of prop blades go beyond the speed of sound)

On VW beetle aircooled engines that did above the 4,000 revs mark, the Autolites were considered garbage...only Champions would work well; when testing how long thet lasted before change in my VW, they worked beyond 20,000 km mark...almost 25,000 but not quite: the bug needed a push start! They would not spark with the starter cranking power from the batery.

See you!:)

Re: Johnson 150 V6 fuel/oil ratio

I found out the hard way back when I rode 2 stroke motorcycles. The NGK were junk and I always reverted back to Champions. Same is true with 2 stroke outboards I have found. So I stick with Champion and have had no issues to date.
