taking on water i think its the seal between the sterndrive and the boat sany help????

It could be lots of things like the bellows, shift cable tube,seal etc but if you can't see it it may be that your transom is rotted. You need to pull the engine, drive and mount and see what's going on. You would have to do this to replace the seal anyway whether it is rotted or not.

Try this and see what happens. Jack the bow as high as you can get it. Use blocks if nessacary. Take a hose and put it inside and turn it on. Water coming out means water coming in. have done this on several boats and never failed.
