My 81 Evinrude 9.9 starts on the first try and runs great on the bench but will not run more than 20 seconds when I try to start it on the boat in the water.
It tries to start but will not come up to any thing above a rough low idle and then dies and wont even do that for a couple of hours and then will do it again.
Any ideas?
