Re: Fishmaster T Tops...Opinions/Review?
I too am interested. It's discouraging to see no one has any opinions or experience with this brand. I emailed a dealer on ebay that makes custom t-tops and can make a fold down one for $400 extra on top of an already $1500 t-top. Kinda high if you ask me. I ask him what he thought of the fishmaster t-top and he said it's junk compared to what he fabricates. I figured he'd answer with something like that though.
My 21 ft bay boat has a total of 9 rod holders around the console. The ebay guy says the t-top makes those useless but I could purchase rod grommets to let them stick through the top. Fishmaster t-tops are the same way. These things are $30 for a pair of rod grommets and I'd need 9 of them. IMO, I'm not interested in putting something on my boat for shade that renders half of my rod holders useless unless I spend another $150 for rod grommets and the rods still might interfere with the structure of the t-top. More sunscreen and hats for me. It's hot here too, but down at the coast it's like 89 degrees on the water, just the sun kills you after a while.
I'd still like one but I don't like the price of them and loss of functionality of my rod holders. I actually use my boat around local lakes for bass fishing too, so the top would be in the way even more for 3+ fisherman.
