I have a 17 ft 86 fabuglas v hull bowrider with a 4 cyl omc i/o and omc sterndrive. I'm not sure about specifics of motor and outdrive because it has no tags or stickers on motor. It has a rochester 2 bbl carb. the problem i'm having is when i accelerate it take a long time to get up on plane. and if i have any weight in the boat it seems like i'm pulling an anchor behind the boat. I'm currently running a 13x19 prop and wot is about 3900rpm. My question is what size prop would work for my boat without sacrificing too much top end. Thanks for any help you can give.

17" pitch will give you 400-500 wot rpms and hole shot will improve. top end should 'nt change much eigther way
