Yamaha Power Tilt Problem

My 1991 70 HP. Yamaha tilt locks in the up position, I manualy release it and it works ok as long as I don't fully extend it in the up position. If I run it all the way up it locks. I disassembled it and cleaned it and reassembled it but it still has the same problem. Also why can't I find parts to rebuild the unit?

is it locking with the kickstands like they are loose? other than a possible fluid problem or problem with the main cyl you should have no trim down at all and usually up is where problems arise. dont know about the parts problem though

No, Its not the kick stands. The big ram sticks at the top when fully extended. After manualy releaseing it everything works as long as I don't fully extend the ram. Also it now acts like it has air in the system. How do you bleed the air
