Sorry if this is the wrong topic area but I just picked up a new four blade alum. 20p prop for my 1993 alpha 1 with a 3.0 but after putting it on I found that it just nicks the anode trim tab. What should i do can you grind down the tab or will it affect my steering to much and if iget a slimmer anode from the marine store how do I remove the old one on there now? thanks

Get a different anode. It's bolted in from the top. It's pretty obvious when you actually look at it. If your boat has power steering, get the anode that is just a flat plate.

You can grind it down without issue. Leave at least 1/2" clearance just in case.

I ground the tab back about 5/8 inch and kept the same shape, I took it out on the water and it had no adverse effects on the steering
