Hi all, as you can quess, I'm new here. I just wanted to say hi and introduce myself. Boating and fishing has always been a passion of mine since I was a young kid. I am currently restoring/updating a 1956 14' Aluminum Feathercraft V-hull that I have had since 1994. I purchased the boat and trailer right out of college for $50 at an estate auction and held onto it ever since. I never thought of boat restoration as a hobby until this summer when I started to clean it up and now I'm hooked on the restoration raquet. I'm currenty stipping paint from the hull and hopefully getting into more fun parts of the restoration shortly. This forum, by far, has the most knowledgable posts and information that I have found on the web. Keep the knowledge and the pictures of all the beautiful boats flowing! ANCHORS AWAY!

Re: Permission to come aboard....

Welcome to iboats.

You are in the right place and with about 5 minutes of reading you can tell we are aluminum enthusiasts.

I guess the best advice I have is BEFORE you try something on the boat... do not be shy.... ask about it. There are tons of success stories and the same for the horror stories.

We really try to lend advice on what works ;)
