Fuel Supply Question (w/pic)

Hey all ,Hope all are well.
Heres the question, I was given a pontoon w/a 86 johnson 40 hp with no fuel tank or even a supply line . Can anyone give me some info on the pic I submitted and shed some light on how and what to feed this baby with .
The picture is what is coming out of the back of the motor. On the inside of the motor the hose goes to the fuel inlet of the vro.
Can I just hook up a Johnson marine fuel tank with primer bulb to this ?

Yes thats the fuel inlet. Thats where you'd connect your fuel tank with the primer bulb.

Is that VRO hooked up?

it will be , its out of the boat at this time. all the hoses were dry rotted. was gonna hook it back up like it was and (with new hoses ) and cap off the oil inj. but just use the fuel pump side. hopefully it works. cause ill be lost trying figure out what to do with all the other hoses if i have to use an non vro fuel pump. it only has an in and out.

to use a non vro pump, the new pump mount to the bosses on the block, and you block off the pulse line under the carb.

here is one without the VRO, see the fuel pump mounted to the block.

hey cool , man i was kinda wonderin from your info in a previous post but didnt want to keep askin . pictures relly help tho thx. thought i might try that vro fuel pump. everything else seems to be in fair good condition . b4 i shell out $50 in addition to all the other stuff i need.
