Please help locate broken trailer leaf spring emergency kits that will get you home with a broken leaf.

Why are attachments hard to attach? My attachment icon is not active or not giving the options it has in the past. I have used it at lease twice in the last few weeks. I wanted to show temps clamp with U-bolts and plate if needed should work on the leaf due to where it's broke. Or! A trailer to axle bolted block replacing the spring a short distance.

I know that leaf springs should not be welded. But I have on 1-2 emergencies just to get the boats home from short distances. The leaf or leafs were replaced before getting on the road again. I would weld the leaf to a leaf or added plate for temp leverage and extra welding to get extra support.

Re: Please help locate broken trailer leaf spring emergency kits

I'm still learning my way around in this site. I felt I could get some info here on kits and attachments.

They were able to get the boat home and should be able to get a used or new spring tomorrow.

Where should I have posted? I ran searches in Trailers and Towing first.

Thanks,
Joe

I'm glad you got the boat home, Trailers and Towing is the place to post this kind of question. Welcome to iboats and don't worry, you'll get the hang of it.
