We have a 1987 Force 125 that we are just finishing rebuilding.
The one part that I haven't been able to find is the filter screens for the fuel recirculation puddle drains. As far as I can tell, no one offers a direct replacement or a substitute.
I've been looking at alternative sources such as motorcycle engines and small engines for trimmers and lawn mowers. But I still haven't come up with anything I could use to replace them, even if I have to trim up my own from another material.
I included a picture of the screens below. They are about the size of a dime and seem to be stainless steel. They are a VERY fine mesh, almost a cloth. If you compare it to the screen for a faucet (a 1.5 gpm aerating screen) the mesh is at least twice as small.
The inlet hole is very small and I am sure could easily be clogged if the filter isn't fine enough.
Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions of a substitute we could use to replace these screens?
Thanks for your help
