legacy pontoon boats????

I'm looking to buy a Legacy 225 pontoon boat, 2000 or 2002 model, from a guy and can't find any information on them, Nor has he been forthgiving on pertanent info, my questions if anybody knows are: Is this the true manufacture's name, has the company changed hands or has it closed down permantly? where can I recieve more info, As you can see I'm lost in be this,would Need intell for loan reasons, any help on this would be greatly appriciated

Could it be that Legacy is the model and not the Manufacture? NADA shows a legacy boats that went out of business in 2000, but the boat models didn't scream pontoon....
