This happened when I was putting the boat on a trailer. Put it in reverse to back out and realign. When I went to put it in forward the engine died. I still have reverse. I've tried adjusting shifting cables but when I have taken them off and pushed the lower cable in while someone was turning the prop counterclockwise it never stopped. In does stop when the prop is turned clockwise and the cable is pulled out. I can get it to adjust so that the throttle arm is in the full forward position but the prop is not engaged. I can't figure out why the kill switch is being engaged and why is won't go in forward. Any help or direction in where this has been answered before?
