motor wants to die when i pump the gas bulb 1986 8 hp (e8rcde) seems to flood the first time i start it .I've heard pumping the bulb should have no effect on a running motor.wondering if it flooding when i pump her up after connecting the fuel hose too ? float seat ? fuel pump ,maybe primer? thanks,John

Float seat or float don't float. I f you can blow into or pump fuel into it when it is full check float seat and float. If your primer bulb never gets hard or stops pumping , same issue. Pumping the primer on a good carb while running will not affact it , it will on a bad carb.Good luck.
