why were you checking to see if everything was ok? did you just do some work on it? please give a little history, has it been sitting? what color was the smoke, was there a lot of smoke or just a little. did the engine overheat? how long was it running?

Re: Stopped running

Alot of smoke kinda blue was for about a month.I was cleaning out the boat and decided to make sure it would start before i drug it down to the dock.I was thinking that maybe the oil and gas separated while sitting so long, but i put in fresh gas.Oh i had put in a new battery.

From these two statements, it sounds like it was sitting for a long time with little or no use. I would say you should start with basic tune-up and carb cleaning/rebuild. change filters as well. my guess is the old fuel has varnished inside the carb.

Just because you can?t do it, does not mean it doesn?t need to be done. Chrysler carbs are one of the easiest to rebuild. The motor is not running at all right now, so how can you make it worse. Buy yourself a manual, and it will help you and we can help as well. Maybe someone that lives near you would be willing to give you a hand.
