Well I can tell you this.......
There's only 3 or 4 from this area, posting........
When the temp's are 110* plus, it's a crap shoot!
Unless your my best buddy.......
If your unlucky enough to break down......I will/try to be there. On the mean time.....Why not try asking a friend. Who has money of course.
Not to put you off.... BUT, if this is your first endeavor......
GET A FRIEND!
It get's really HOT here and bring LOT'S of WATER!
Just my 2 takes and good luck.
What you see on land....is a whole lot different than what you see on water!
Not meaning to offend, just take it with a grain of salt.;)

I'm not sure what your reply was intended to mean, sorry. As for the 26th, we may be able to get out on the lake. We launch from Callville and usually anchor up on Sandy Beach. Game for anywhere if its better. :)

Yeah, we take lots of water and only a couple of beers. I poor the sunblock spf 45 all over and keep a tee shirt on and wear a big hat. Love the water, hate the sun burn. Last week the water level was up and colder than then the week before.

Easy QC, just funnin' with ya.:D
But, the last time I checked, you have to be 21 to rent a houseboat from Forever Resorts?
Then again, he could be renting from a private party.
Either way, just funnin' with ya.
Didn't mean to imply your boy/young man was incapable.
Sorry for the confusion.
But then again, I would have took it the wrong way!
Forgive?

Forgive . . . :)

It's Forever. Either they're hard up for money or they allow it anyway. He has done the whole deal, his card, all of the mail has come in his name etc. I haven't done anything except answer questions. Pretty proud of him.

He really is experienced though. He has gone on about five HB trips with the family and he has gone on three HB trips with Church youth groups. The chaperons figured out pretty quickly that they can depend on him and they put him in charge of anchoring all of the boats. They even have him piloting one of the tow boats for water sports, so he has apparently impressed them. And just like Dad, he had his little planning meeting last weekend when everyone that is going came over and they figured out food and stuff responsibilities

One of our age old justifications for owning a boat was to keep the family together for vacations. He actually wants us to join him on this trip (we are). When I was his age I would've done anything to keep my parents from going on my vacation

Re: lake mead

LV guys, my wife, the puppy and I went up to Mt. Charleston today, it got down to 63 deg. It felt great, to bad everyone else had the same idea. :(
The puppy had fun running around. The break from the heat was very much needed.
And, when they say LV is 112, its really more like 120 where I live on the south side.
