K&J Marine - Holdiay Road Buford - 678-482-5088 (the road that goes from P'tree industrial to lanier island). Absolutely the best.. I've been using them for 10+ years. They used to be at Starboard marina before they sold out. When the new Chaparral dealer opened on Holiday Road, they moved with them. Fortunately they left the dealer (the worst dealer I have ever worked with) and are independent again. K - Kelley, J- Jamie husband and wife team. They are certified.

Thanks I will give em a call. I was also thinking of someone to freelance for little things like, right now I need a new power steering pump and not strong enough to do it myself. But don't wanna wait ten days to take it in to a marina.

I do about 80% of the work on my boat myself BUT when it is serious I also go to K&J. I haven't seen them since early last year and usually only see them every 3-5 years but they are now the only place I go. Lets hope I dont need to see them sooner:eek: Whatever you do - DO NOT GO TO JOA - HORRIBLE EXPERIENCES THERE!!!!!! If you have any type of fuel injection or carberator problem, go to Carberator Specialists in Smyrna. They are fantastic.

rasnattydred,
Give Kelley a call. He is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. His wife Jamie is equally nice. They will bend over backwards to help you. Tell them about this forum and that Matt with the Chaparral 280 SSi recomended them (maybe it will help me with a discount this fall).

Yes i got excellent service form them. They charged me $150 for the new power steering pump pulley kit and to install it. Ahoy Marine on Allatoona was trying to charge us $300 to do it.
