Hello All,

I was just wondering where I can purchase this urethane foam. I'm from Ontario and wondering if theres any Canadian options to quicken delivery and also low cost's. Any thing would be valued, all that I have found is purely US sites mainly in CA.

Thanks in advance

Usually in the garbage ( full of water ) . I would recomend using the pink or blue foam board from a home improvement store it wont soak up water like the expanding stuff will.

yes, but the polystyrene-based foams you mention will dissolve in gasoline and make a pretty spectacular fire on their own when light...

Note also that polyurethane foam technology has come a long way since the foam that many of us have removed soaking wet. Some of the newer foams should outlast a boat hull on full immersion.

Just food for thought...

The new urethane foams are closed cell technology which none of the manufacturers used. That is why the OEM foam soaked up water.
Try www.boatbuilderscentral.com orwww.FGCI.com , they ship stuff all over the world.

Re: Where to find Urethane Foam?

Hey guys sorry for the delay was busy grinding the weekend away. I have another question hopefully someome can awnser :D

I ripped up my deck to find that there was no foam at all just ****ty fiberglassed stringers with the deck on top, layered with fiberglass. Sorry I dont have pictures but the boat is a 14' runabout dont know the year. The motor that is on the boat is a 71 johnsob though.

Bought the whole lot an a trailer for 600, rebuilt the carb for the motor an to purs like a kitten now.. just need to fix this deck.. I think my transom is in good enough condition

But yeah any help with this no foam thing would be great.. I think there should be foam there but if there wasnt before should i add it?

Thjanks in advance

Jerry
