Tried it...not a good idea. Heat fron the hot tub creates condensation on the scope. And, fetching the kill in your birthday suit has it's own problems.

I never had the patience for deer hunting, but I'm sure I could manage using that technique.

Funny you mention it, as that is what his friends call him when they see him in his birthday suit. ;)

I would do the same thing as he does, given the same situation. But that is what you would call "A relax hunting" with all the trappings and comfort of home. :) ;)

Can't see the need for the blaze orange hat. How do you mistake a guy in a hot tub for a deer.

Jeep Man does have a point but,

that is a great stand and I 'm scratching my head trying to figure how to get something like that up 20' into a pine tree.

Re: Hunting from a stand - redneck style

Hunted like that a couple of years ago minus the hot tub. My dads friend had a house in the middle of his property and he gave us permission to hunt his land and stay at his house while he and his wife went on vacation. He had a deck that went all the way around the house. The first couple days we got a late start and were being picky about the bucks we wanted. My dad is diabetic and sometimes has problems with his feet swelling up and making it hard for him to walk so we decided to get up early one morning and sit on the deck and see what shows up. He ended up taking down a beautiful 5x5 from a lawn chair.
