My timing belt also broke in the driveway while trying to start it, AQ131D, (I just bought the boat as a project and have never ran it) I have the manual but it says to remove the 6 bolts on the crank pulley and remove it, but mine only has the one center bolt, do i still need to remove it. I lined up the timing marks on the camshaft and intermediate shaft pulley with no problems but do I use the mark on the crankshaft drive belt pulley and put it on TDC or do I need to take off that pulley and use the mark on the crankshaft timing belt pulley? What do the mark on the crank timing belt pulley look like, is it a notch on the outside of the pulley, which I can see with the drive belt pulley on, or is there a dot like the rest of the pulleys have and where is the mark on the engine block and what does it look like? Can you give me ball park figure where the timing belt pulley mark is in relation to the engine block (12:00, 6:00, 3:00, etc.)? Thanks for the help and just one more question, can I use an automotive valve cover gasket? Thanks again and aloha!!!!
