92 nissan 3.5, no spark

My friend picked up a Nissan 3.5a cira 1992 for a couple of bucks. It ran for a couple of seconds and died. Went to test for spark and found none.

I looked online for a service manual and could not find any. The best I could come up with was a wiring diagram from an owner?s manual.

Any suggestions on how to pin this problem down to either the stop switch, ignition coil, cd unit, or the mag?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

No spark?

Check the kill switch lanyard to see if it is in the run position.

or fake it with a zip tie
