which fin am i to go by when lining up the motor with the bottom of boat?:confused: their are two . i tried to upload the pics but they are too big?

The fin is called the cavitation plate and is right above the prop. See image.

does that mean the cavatation plate should be level with the bottom of the boat? and does the motor have to be level when i do this ? just making sure the previouse owner moved the motor down on the holes on the transom but i dont know why?
