loosing power steering fluid

2002 glastron 4.3 volvo sx drive,power steering pump was low .filled it up and after about an hour was low again.Power steering pump? and when was low at idle was a bit of wobble, probably because no perssure on steeering system.
Please any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated

PS does my 4.3l volvo have a power steering cooler?

Ayuh,... And unless you have a pool of oil in the bilge,...
That's probably Where it's going...
The Cooler is mounted In the In-coming waterline to the motor..
It probably Froze,+ split internally...

Not sure if this relates to your problem but I have a 3.0 volvo penta and I had my power steering cylinder replaced once and now its leaking again. I have none in bilge but the carpet under the cylinder where the piston goes in and out is saturated.

Easy to remove on my 3.8liter which is a simaler motor to the 4.3. I had a simaler issue, pulled mine and pressurized it (air on one side thumb on other) It held pressure. Turned out the hose had partially split under the clamp. Trimmed hose and good to go.

I had located a used one for $30. These things rarely fail unless they freeze so I wasn't concerned with a used unit. A new one (for my boat) was around $100.
