OK I have always had Bass boat, and my wife talked me into getting a Bowrider so the hole family could go boating. So I had a friend that was selling a 1988 Bayliner 1950 that was in good shape for $1000. So I bought it and went though everything that I could thing of from my other boat expierance. The one thing that I did not check was the UV Bellows. Well we where out two time when I heard something not right. We stoped the boat and pulled it out of the water and got it home. I pulled the Drain plug og the stern drive and out came the WATER, thats not good. I got to looking and fould a cut in the UV Bellows. I got a Bellows kit and replaced everything seals, o-rings, gibble bearing and regreased it all.
What are the odds that was where the water was coming from and I wonder if that was the only place water was getting in. I will find out in the morning. If anyboady knows the Stern Drive Gods can you say alittle something for me.
Thanks
Matt
