Re: how to by pass that oil injector

what year and size is it. i replaced my VRO with an OMS upgrade and it seems to be working great. i now have a no oil alarm. this gives me some peace of mind. if the fuel side is working it shouldn't be that hard to bypass. there are alot of topics regarding this subject that i explored greatly before i upgraded mine. i hope this helps.

sorry its a 1989 90hp Nissan just picked it up. seems like its worth rebuilding power head not quite sure yet what happened in there Im tearing it apart but @#2 it binds up on the stroke just pulled all the head bolts trying to figure out how to break it free from the powerhead but it dose not want to budge its very clean almost like it happened and they just put it away 10 years ago

make sure you keep head bolts in the same pattern they came out. i numbered mine to know where they go. if it has sat for a long time it could need some oil sprayed into the spark plug holes to help break it free. once you get the head off look for marks from the ring draging the cylinder. there could be carbon build up also that is causing this. how long did it sit?

got the head off. theres a peice of the ring that has poped out and is catching on the cylinder. right at the exaust lip. but the cylinder walls look good I would say a honning and re-ring maybe 2 new pistons the one in question and the top piston are pitted not smooth what would cause this heat? no oil? detonation? timming? the head is pitted on these cylinders also I have some pictures I will put up soon I know one thing Im sure it was that auto injector that caused this I wont be using it pre mix and delete that nightmare

i would talk to the machine shop and see what they say. i don't even think 30 over is necessary. see what they say and go form there.

Thanks JR . just dont want to spend $600 and have the same thing happen again looks like those 2 cylinders were starving for fuel/oil this will be solved by deleting injection and just pre-mixing
