WIfe and I went to launch our boat Saturday. There was a relativly new Four Winns bowrider about 35ft out from the ramp with the lid up and the guy on it was crawling around the engine compartment. We launch our boat and I'm idleing around putting the fenders out waiting on wife to park truck and come down to the dock. Guy hollers at me and asks if I know how to start his boat. I asked him what engine he had and if it was carbed or FI. Guy says it's a 3.0 with carb and "they" (I guess the people he bought the boat off of) told him he needed to prime the engine before it would start. I told him to pump the throttle a couple of times. He did so and boat started when he hit key. He says thanks and lays in the throttle. That's when I notice his outdrive is still up in the trailer position. I just shake my head and pick up wife at dock and go on my merry way.
