Well I Might Have Gotten A Little Carried Away

I was on here a little while ago asking questions about towing with my 98 Volvo V70 and how big a boat I could handle with tow rating by the manufacturer of 3300 lbs. I was trying to get a boat and trailer for under 2500 lbs dry weight.

Well I did not want some small underpowered boat so I bought a boat I wanted and bought a fairly inexpensive GMC Envoy to pull it. I got a Crestline 180 with 190 HP.

The truck is great for what it costs and will do the job until the boat is paid off and I can get what I want to tow with, a Volvo XC90 with a V8, I bought this Envoy for about the same amount as I will sell my 98 V70 for.

When I saw this Crestline boat I said the heck with buying a great tow vehicle and not being able to buy a boat. It's the boat I wanted and I got it sitting in my backyard.

I just got home with it and got a little carried away and was not thinking. Where the heck did I come up with Crestline? Thanks.

Can't wait to get everything registered so I can get out on the water. Been about 20 years since I owned the Welcraft 196 with the Mercruiser 470. This boat felt great when I test drove it on Sunday.

Crestline makes a pretty good window. Don't know if they have tackled boats yet.

Well I can't fault you on the towvehicle. I love mine. Well except when the drivers side HID Headlight went out. That wasn't a good day.

You'll love the auto correcting air ride in the rear as long as it keeps working.

Sh'e my little workhorse. But I could have sworn they are rated something stupid high like 5600 pounds tow capacity? Maybe I need to go back and look.

NICE!! I have the same boat only the 196 but it is all yellow and black. The older crownlines are very sharp boats in my opinion, I looked at a all red one but the price wasn't doable. Mine has the 5.7 with a hi five prop and that thing will fly.

PS put that spare in the tow rig or get a different rim when $ permits, thats too nice looking of a boat for that spare tire
