what year is my Mariner 2HP

This seems to be a very popular question. I am not recieving spark to the spark plug and believe the ignition points may need to be replaces or gapped properly, however I do not know the year of the engine to purchase parts. Serial number as follows - 2M 6A1 079522. Thanks
