What model 1968 Starcraft 16' did we buy?

Hi!
We just bought a 1968 16' fiberglass boat and are having trouble finding out what model it is - there doesn't seem to be much information for that year. It is fiberglass, has the original 100hp Starflite Evinrude, and has ventable front windows.
I've attached pictures, maybe someone knows what it is?

Lil I didnt want you to think we were ignoring you . I have gotten pretty good at IDing the Aluminum boats but I am far from knowing all the Glass ones.

Thanks Rick. Maybe someone has a 1968 Starcraft catalog or manual that might help? I'd like to know what the original colors for it too.

I know Northbeach has several 60's brochures . He should be back from vacation next week . I guess in the mean time come on down to the resto forum and start tearin into her .

LKW, I have the brochures for 64 thru 69-except 68. I haven't been able to find one yet. I also have 71 and some others 60 stuff like price lists and such.

I can't find anything in any of my brochures that has a windshield like yours. If I come across any newer info I'll be more than happy to help you out.

NB dont look so much at the windshield that could have been replaced like EZ's boat . The one I hvent been able to find is a Glass starcraft with lapstrke sides like that .

Thank you, I haven't seen anything online with those windows either, so I wondered if it was an upgraded model. I think the windows are original, the side one has age cracking.

The 1967 models that I thought most closely resembled come stock with an 80hp but had the option of upgrading to a 100hp. The '67 windows that I saw were wrap around style though. This is going to just be the mystery boat for now!

LIL most of the starcrafts had wrap around windshields up to 67 in 68 they changed over to the flatter style such as yours on most models except for the 14' Holiday which carried the wraparound style through 74 at least but was flat by 77. Thats why I asked NB to look more at the lapstrake sides on yours as that is a unique feature for the glass starcrafts most of the glass ones had smooth sides the aluminum ones had lapstrake sides ( looks like vinyl or aluminum house siding .)

Rick, several of the years I have show lapstrake fiberglass. I think the windshield is a replacement.

16'? I think it is the Newport V, which I haave with lapstrake sides

Most Glass boats have thr ID info on the outside corner on the right side impragnated in the glass hull. of the transom. At the top.

Here are some pictures of my 1967 Starcraft Newport v-I.O
Has the I-4 120 inboard/outboard.
These seem to be rare boats cause I can't find much documentation on them either. brochure is about it. Anyhoo...since they're rare i thought this may help...

timalew, i just joined this site to find info on mine. I also have a 1967 Newport. I'm amazed at how similar they are (color, etc). I'll take pics tomorrow and post. Sorry for the intrusion lilknitwit, hope i can help somehow.

This is a 1968 Starcraft Palair and yes that is the original window. found on e on ebay that was sold a few days ago contacted the gentleman that owned it since new he said that it is a 1968 Palair original motor also.
