At the top of this forum is a Top Secret File. In there is a procedure for an engine that won't start. Have a look and see what you can do. Here is a link I think is a must read for all us 9.9 and 15 owners. There is lots of information contained in it as well. Best of luck. Rick.

Sounds to me like your in need of a carb. kit. However if that has already been done, have you checked the correct placement of the float? Sounds like your float needle valve may be leaking by. Did your kit include a new needle and seat? When you pump the bulb is it leaking gas or is it just when you turn it over that it's leaking gas? Rick.

Rick i just rebuilt the carb with a carb kit so i doubt thats it..and yes i put in a new needle and seat..when i pump the bulb i can hear the gas go in and it starts leaking when i try to start it..funny thing is it started once after the rebuild and ran for a few seconds then died all the way...

Did you check the things TD mentioned. You could try to (with a spray bottle) squirt some 50/1 fuel mix directly into the carb. and see if that starts it. If it does we will know the carb. isn't providing fuel to the cylinders. Rick.
