OMC/Mercruiser 3.0L 120&140 hp. difference???

Wondering, In 1993 what was the difference between the 3.0L 120 hp and the 3.0 L 140 hp? Cam? Distributor? Carb/intake size in CFM?

Far as I know...2 barrel vs. 4 barrel.

And the L and the LX have different head designs....
