DAY 14 Aug 31rst (these are the actual days we WORKED on the boat, not days since project started FYI)

NEW PICS------->

Well, Sunday Aug 30th we hit the lake in the glastron for some R&R, the water was warm and it was an awsome day at the lake! sorry no pics left camera in truck by accident. Yes we seen PASTIES! this gal jumped from a mega high cliff, no she didnt lose the pasties (darn) yes she was stacked well. There were a couple 250k boats tied together in the narrows at lake mead, offshore and cataramoran hulls, one 23" sleekcraft, yellow and white, looked sweet as it took off to go back to the marina.
Monday Aug 31rst did some glassing in of wood stringer stuff. Glassed in behind all of the stringer wood up to top of foam, installed stringers, glassed in the ski locker and its divider, the divider block between the stringers near the eng compartment, and the first couple coats of glass in fuel tank area. Have to do at least 3 coats.
We have to wait to get the floor decking in before glassing the eng area though. That was the way the oem guys did it, thats the way were doing it.
Ideally we would've removed all of the foam and glassed completely over the stringers and eng mounts. Because of cost overruns with this project and the cost of pour in foam, the old stuff is staying. I dont like the design of the stringer system and glass system in this boat, originally they had pieces of wood in the eng area instead of solid stringer going front to back. too many wood pieces!
Originally I wanted to go with 4x4 pressure treated in eng compartment, but since the main stringer lined up with the middle of the eng mount wood, we are stuck with the way we have it.
It should be fine this way for 15 to 20 more years. Considering there was 20 inches of water in there as we can tell from water stain line inside the boat,
if the next guy lets that much water get in and sit for months, that's his bad!
