I'm in need of a vintage trailer for my "64 MFG and came across a clean mid "60's Holsclaw with coil springs. It has NO rust, but needs paint. The only thing it may need down the road is new coil springs, are they available???Also, are these good trailers? How could i estimate the value of the trailer???It could be restored VERY easy.Any help would be great, thanks.

I would see if there is a spring shop in your area. Many times they can find or make a set of springs for not too much money.

Re: Holsclaw?

I've owned 8 boat trailers over the years and my Holsclaw was the best I ever had. The springs / suspension syetems were superior to the rest. They only went out of business because they were too expensive.

Any spring shop can supply replacement springs. Just give them the size and weight requirement.
