What does this button do?

On my 1993 four winns 190 Horizon LE there is a push botton just above where the key goes in, It has no label and I don't know what it does. I'm scared to push it.


It is just to the left of the wheel near the shadow.

I'm to scared. I have actually seen it on a few other Four winns so I think it is a factory button but looks nothing like the other ones.

OK I pushed it and nothing happened, What a waste of finger use. ok new question: what was the button for?

It's still live. It's the trigger switch for the bow mounted laser death ray which, by the way, can cut a sailboat in half. The trick is that the safety has to be off. That's the last switch on the right side of the steering wheel.

Momentary switch? Most likely for the horn. Stick your face under the dash, where do the wires go?

Could possibly be a fuse reset, or possibly the horn. Any other horn buttons at the helm. Or, it could be, well, we better not go that far. . I heard of a button one time, it was called the anti-nag button. The ole lady starts naggin from the passenger seat, and this puts up a partition, you can still see her, but cannot hear anything she says. Actually, I tend to do that when we are in the same room with no partition. . Maybe that's why there's an indentation just my size on the couch.

It's an automatic jet ski obliterator. When you pushed it, there were none in the area, so it didn't activate.


But I like the nag/ejector concept also.

fuse/circuit breaker reset? Trip odometer reset? Some engineer with an off sense of humor?

OK I climbed under the dash and the horn fuse was blown ahah! so I change it out and push the mystery button one more time and what so you know, nothing.*^^$##* So i look under again and the horn fuse is blown again, well at least I know what it was supposed to do now to capture the gremlin.

Oh yeah while laying down there I realized my driver seat is adjustable. SWEET, my 72 model didn't come with that option.

oh, that's the built-in fuse tester... when you push the button if it blows, it means it was good.

Seems like it's working OK.
