i replaced the crank seals in the right engine of my '97 yamaha exciter. that engine now runs good, however. the right engine now fires with a turn of the key but immediatly looses spark. can anyone give me some tips on what direction to head? i check the teather, kill switches, and obvious connections.

try the kill switch in the rear hatch by the clean out plugs probably out of adjustment,, also try joining www.yamahajetboaters.com for help from people with that same boat..

Re: need help with my '97 exciter 220

I have a 1998 exiter 220 with 1100's with the same issue on both engines. Jumped the lanyard and still have the problem. I find it hard to believe that a cdi or coil would go out in both motors at the same time and have the same symptoms so I believe the problem is simple and found elswhere.
