Who else found stuff in their boat?

I was in my (New to mw) boat this evening cleaning all the vinyl when I saw a small piece of teal cloth sticking bewtween the cushions on my back seat. I pulled on it and "POP" the top of the rear seats behind the doghouse opened and there it was, a brand new bimini top still rapped up and covered in dust since 1993. My boat already has a bimini but I believe it is after market and this is the one that snaps to the winshield for a nice snug fit. I am sooo happy right now I had to share.

Wow, and here all I found was an old cresent wrench and a pack of once-wet smokes. Maybe there is something further down in the boat.. wait, nope.. already found the rot

thats a great find! especially in great shape. My boat came with full camper canvas and i never tried to put it on until this year lol. I didnt realize I had all the pieces with it. kinda the same. nah, not as neat as a new factory bimini lol.

I spotted a downrigger weight behind the fuel tank, when I reached in to get it I also found an old tripple fish hook,in my finger!

On my first boat (1965 MFG), I found a set of old brass knuckles.

Nothing in mine but one of my good fishing buddies upgraded, in the spring, to a new 17' Lund all rigged up. Needed to get the price in line with his budget so he had them downgrade the fishfinder to BW from color. Last week he opened a small bow compartment and inside was the color unit. Looks like I'll be getting a good deal on a nearly new BW Lowrance for my pontoon.

I found a life jacket covered in mold in the ski locker of my old boat...

I am just waiting for the next suprise, hopefully it is also a good one. I am still dancing around about the bimini although finding a color fish finder would be sweet. My house came with 758 wasps nests so I don't need those in the boat too.

I found a glass 20oz coke bottle unopened in the back under the engine hatch.... Man it sure was flat

I found a flare gun and a bunch of flare ammo for it under the seat after I bought my boat. The expi date on the flares was way past though.

The guy who had the boat before me must've taken it out on some big water, because on the small crowded inland lakes I go out on you wouldn't need a flare gun to get anyone's attention.

After purchase I found the boat had a complete bimini and camper enclosure (knew it had some, but the PO didn't think it was complete), although it needs some work. I also found it had a complete snap in carpet for the cockpit. Other than that and the many bees nests, and lately some insane looking spider cacoon... nothing great!

When I brought our new to us boat home it had only been used for a season but the PO was in a rock band and pretty much dropped the boat off at the marina and said sell it. I picked it up pretty cheap but when I got it home that is when the fun began, I pulled out 4 folding chairs, a tube, a Kneeboard, spare prop, complete canvas kit, sand anchor, extra lines, 10 new life jackets of assorted sizes, 200' of anchor line, all the original books on the boat. He also rack stored the boat so the trailer had maybe 5 miles on it. I figure it was about a grand worth of extras if I had to go out and buy all this stuff. It was a good day.

wholly cow ... what a find.. i way happy when i found a spare key under the oil tank of mine.. i was told by the previous owner to be careful the one i was given was the only one.. and a color depthfinder .. wow..

I found some thong underwear and three dildos, one was HUGE, under the jump seat in mine. Funny thing is the previous owner was older and his wife didn't look like the type to wear thongs, let alone use that dildo!

Maybe they were from their daughter? Or worse, their son?!?

I was cleaning up a tin fishing boat that had rotted plywood floors in it. When I pulled up the floor boards I found several old lures in various stages of deterioration and rust, as well as three long desicated fish skeletons, most likely perch and rock bass... My guess was that once removed from their hooks the fishies made a break for it, only to slip between the floorboard and the gunwale... Musta been a tad stinky for awhile!
