Okay, heres the pics from what I ended up with. I originally posted about NOT buying a stainless marine grill, but I found this one for $75 including 2 different mounts. mounts are $40/piece. So, i grabbed it and I don't know how I would have fabbed anything similar up on my own. Its a great way to go. Mine is the West Marine 200SS with rail mount. Cant wait to try it out! lest see pics/ideas that anyone else has come up with. This is setup off my swimstep rail, I still need to figure something out for mounting it off the bow, thats how I really want it. but this will work until then

The 2nd pic shows it slid forward on the rail, that works best. I can sit in the rear starboard seat and easily reach it haha.

That is a great setup but I would want to store it somewhere and set up as needed. For the price you got a real deal.

Its a quick disconnect. Theres a handle that spins off and it comes down in about 30 seconds. Thats how i'll mount it when im using it, otherwise I'll be storing it under the engine cover.

How come you can't mount it on your bow rail?? Or install a pair of bow rails.

i have bow rails, but the clamp is too big to fit between the rail and the fiberglass. So, i need to find a smaller clamping system, or im thinking about trying to find a way to mount the bbq off of the cleats, then i can move it from cleat to cleat if i want to.

also, the iboats store has a SS one for $125 or so, sounds like a pretty good deal. looks like it has different mounting options also.

That was one sweet deal, redone! Now sandwiches will be banned from your boat forever (unless they are melts) ;)

My buddy took one of those red Coleman stow and go BBQ grills that tailgaters use and took it off its base. To the bottom he mounted one of those pivoting cutting board mounts that slide into rod holders. It has a handle so the post can swivel around to level it and fold it out of the way for storage.

well, the bbq was a huge hit. Sausage, bratwurst, hot dogs, and some awesome steaks. Everyone agreed its one of the best mods done to the boat in a long time lol. really completed the day.

Good to hear it was a hit. Steaks, brats and dogs, doesn't get much better than that! I was just joking about crashing the party, I wouldn't do that,,, unless it smelled realllllly good. :D

Actually, I haven't been up to Echo in a few years , but that was my go-to spot when I was on Mead.

Dude if you figure that out or which mount is needed for a cleat, that would be awsome!!:D

i havent figured anything out yet...we used the swim step rail and it worked out great. I would like it away from the step though so people can board easily while im cooking. thats the only downside we found, but it was still waaay cool anyways :D
