Starts fine, runs 1-2 seconds and dies

My 1992 150hp Johnson will start fine but die after 1-2 seconds. I have tried pumping the primer valve while it is running but this seemed not to help. The primer bulb is mostly deflated after starting and not much fuel can be pumped by hand. Engine will usually start right up again but only run briefly before quitting.

clogged vent in tank, or pick up tube, or bad bulb.
