Yes I know..Halloween is a ways off...but figured I'd show one of my pumpkins from last year..I have pics of the last fe years as well..but they are hiding somewhere in some unknown corner of my pc..

Thats pretty cool!! I haven't carved a pumkin for years, We need to show pics of pumkins this year I am not very good but I will take pics any way.

It's become a little tradition..for the last 2 years Diane has had me do pumkins that then get auctioned off at some of her works events..Had one go for 100 bux's...

Those I have carved out of the fake styrofoam ones that can last a bit lomger than the real stuff! lol...Use a heated exacto knife..slices right through em.....The one I posted was a real one though

I've seen pics of pumkins carved with CNC that are really good. Maybe I'll see if I can get my CNC router up to the task, it's gonna need a 4th axis first though.

Last year was the first time we went Halloween camping. We had a great time. People decorated their sites and the kids trick or treated. They had a pretty good haunted hayride along with other activities.

I wanted to add the pumpkins that I carved tonight. I did the Minnesota Viking and the wife carved an Iowa Hawkeye! You can tell we love our football in our house!

Wow, those are seriously intricate carvings. I cheat by using a dremel tool and still limit myself to spider webs or witches. Those look fake they are so good.

SWEET..Tho I guess a GBP pumpkin would be the scariest of em all?

Do ya have a template saved of those? You do a killer Viking one every year?

I make my own templates from scanned pictures and images that I find. I have most of them saved on my laptop. I have a really cool Adrian Peterson template that I want to do this year but the wife said that I need to do a non-football pumpkin so that will have to wait until next year. I still have another pumpkin to carve this year and she wants a beagle so I'll put that one up when I complete it.

I'll do a Viking pumpkin every year. I like to change the design up a little though. This years took me 3 1/2 hours from start to finish to hollow out the pumpkin and then carefully cut the small lines out. The thing that took the longest was using pins to transfer the image to the pumpkin.

Here are all three pumpkins I did this year together. I also put in the latest carving, my beagle Isabelle. I put a picture of her in there too so you can see the resemblance.
