I went out on the Ohio River yesterday with my fishing buddy and when I backed my boat off the trailer the engine died. Buddy was already parking my rig in the lot so I just lowered my trolling motor and proceeded to the dock.
When I engaged the key, nothing happened. So I look in the battery compartment and all the connections were tight. I then look and made sure the kill switch was attached.
The engine died while I was in reverse, backing off the trailer.
I NEVER PUT THE THROTTLE BACK IN NEUTRAL when trying to restart.
I placed the throttle back in neutral and the engine fired right up.
We then proceeded to catch the heck out of the catfish population on the Ohio!!!!!
