hello everyone,
I am fairly new to the forum been lurking around for a while. thought i would join and share my new project and hope to get some good feedback and information when needed...hopefully able to share the same.
I recently stumbled across a 1971 Mark Twain O24 sportsfisherman. it is a very similar hull my dad had when i was a kid that he and his buddy restored when i was a kid...so with that the story goes like this.....Mark (previous owner) happened to own this boat with his dad....who passed away about 10 years ago...finally after sitting in dry dock for a number of years Mark and his friend decided to begin a full off restoration of this boat....about 6 months ago Marks friend suddenly fell ill and passed away.... Mark didnt have the heart to even look at this boat as the wound was a bit to fresh...so he offered me the boat for cost of removing it from his property....after my first look the hull was tight and solid...a bit of softness in the deck and the hardtop was damaged by a falling tree limb....so that leads me to my end of the story. we got her on Saturday afternoon. 7 trash bags of ripped up cushions and leaves and pine needles...a small maple sapling later we got her clean enough to cut the deck a bit and take some pics....so please take a look and leave some feedback...looking for information on this hull if anyone can point me in the right direct as well....it is a 1971 Mark Twain O24
thanks for reading and having me here. looking forward to sharing and learning as much as i can.
