Everything is custom. Deck is mahogany and the console is made from komacel. I gps'd her at 33mph I thought it would be better with the 45hp but oh well. Tell me what you think

engine was free, paid $900 for the boat and trailer and i put about $500 in materials

Very nice... I always loved the whalers. What type of wood and finish did you use?

Never mind the wood question...I guess It would help if I actually would read the post instead of looking at the pictures...:rolleyes:

thanks, I finished it with Cabot Australian timber oil.
BTW does 33mph seem right for this setup?

I would say its possible with your engine as long as your trim is set properly when running.

Wow...beautifully done. I've wanted a Whaler since I was a kid, basically since that one of yours was new. Don't know what it is about them, but always thought they were the cream.

You've done a wonderful job with your project. Congrats!

BTW...45hp should move you along quite well. I'd almost think too much motor for 13'...but I'm no expert.

thanks ....thats what i thought, I was thinking 40mph but 33....oh well fast enough
