Re: 94 Mec 115 4 cyl *No Juice past Stator*
The trigger doesn't generate any significant amount of "juice". It provides a signal to the switchbox so the switchbox knows the appropriate time to send a spark to any particular cylinder.
If you have tested both stator and trigger with an meter and the ohm values fall within the specifications for your motor, the most likely cause of "no spark" is a bad switchbox.
One other thing to check is a bad "kill" circuit. Disconnect from the switchbox the black wire with yellow stripe. This wire grounds out the switchbox to kill spark.
Check for spark after you disconnect the kill wire. If you now have spark, either your ign switch or lanyard-kill switch (if you have one of those) is bad, or you have a bare wire to ground somewhere in the harness.
Another thing to check for on the kill circuit is voltage. Turn ign to "Off" then check for voltage to ground (with the wire still disconnected). Then turn ign to "On" and check again. If you find any voltage at all on the kill wire, something is wrong (probably bad switch) and you need to fix this before installing a new switchbox, or the voltage problem could blow out the new box.
One last thing you may not have tried is to disconnect the rectifier (one of the yellow leads going from the stator to the rectifier/regulator assy. If you now have spark, replace the recitifier/regulator assy. Note, don't run the motor with the rectifier disconnected, you could damage the stator. Just cranking speed with all 4 plugs removed, plugs reinserted into spark plug boots & grounded to the block.
HTH & let us know what you find............ed
