Honda BFP8 8hp Charging connection

Hi

Probably a silly question but I have a Honda BFP8 about 4 years old. My old Honda 7.5 had a proper plug & socket but this BFP8 has a plug that is on the tiller arm (with a cover).
According to the manual "connect your battery charging wires to the receptacle" I do not see how? Do I have to buy a plug or do I just stick bare wires into the plug?

It will require a plug to hook the wires up.

Also I understand I cannot connect any accesories direct but must be via a battery? Unlike my old Honda 7.5 where I could connect accesories direct?

Yep, it will need to be hooked to a battery. If you are not running much you might be able to get away with a lawn mower or small car battery.
